hats

The black lines in my collages represent figures, standing in a landscape.
Some of then wear hats, some not. I've made some cutouts of them.

The sandman, collage, 12,5 x 12,5 cm, 2012

The drawing challenge of this week is Hat /Cap.The theme brouht me
to the Tom Waits song: "Anywhere I lay my head". You can hear it here.
And there's also another song from Paul Young: "Wherever I lay my hat ".
It's here

Thank you Tammie Lee for hosting the drawing challence this week. You can
see more links to "hats and caps" on her blog: http://beautyflows.blogspot.com

Dear Eric,
your sandman (somehow cool his gesture) make me smile, a soft smile, just as if a reminder on a man I know.
Great pattern in the first -
and, oh my, Paul Young?! I am a teenie again!

Wish you a happy day.
Ariane.

What a unique interpretation for the theme I love it! they are full of memory- vague and layered for me...maybe its the coloring too- like a washed out dream I 'm trying to hold onto-
lovely!
