drawing challenge 156 - the unexpected

Cleaning up in my studio, there were a few plates with dried layers of acrylic paint.
To remove the layers the next day quite easily, I put the plates under water.
When everything was soaked off the results of the layers that had been stuck to
the plates was quite remarkable and unexpected.

die eerste, ik vind het prachtig!
zo herkenbaar
de schoonheid zien op onverwachte plekken
soms zijn de vlekken in mijn kwastenlap
fijner dan dat wat ik schilder ;^))

fijn weekend!

You know, I usually paint in oils, but when I do paint in acrylics, I think I do it more for this effect than the painting itself. Peeling off the marbled dried paint is one of my most favourite things in the world to do and then I use it as part of some collage. Now I want to ask you to use the dried paint in a piece so I can see that. X :D

Being artists we can expect the unexpected any time we work. Isn't that wonderful!

Funny how purposeful these "unexpected" layers seem in design- such a treat when even our cleaning becomes a beautiful expression :)

Oh, I like them all very much, dear Eric,
but with the first I fall in love, unexpectedly.

Thank you very much again, for hosting the drawing challenge in the last months! If you wanna be our host afresh, please tell me. I 'd put you on the list and link back.

xo Ariane.
